How may CBD be used to improve health?

 Benefits of CBD

There's no denying that CBD has grown in popularity and created a new sector - you can even earn a degree in Cannabis Entrepreneurship* at JWU. While researchers are still attempting to determine how well CBD can be utilised for medical purposes, there have already been several promising findings. Here are seven ways in which CBD has been shown to improve health.

1. Lowering blood pressure.

In a 2017 study done by JCI Insight, CBD was found to reduce human blood pressure. It lowered both their resting and post-stress blood pressure, which included mental arithmetic, isometric exercise, and the cold pressor test.

2. Reducing inflammation.

A study conducted by the Rockefeller Institute of Medical Research found that CBD can help reduce inflammation and the neuropathic pain it might cause.

3. Avoiding relapse in drug and alcohol addiction.

A 2018 study found that CBD can aid persons suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. A preclinical research with lab rats found that CBD reduced stress-induced cravings, anxiety, and impulsive behaviour, all of which frequently lead to relapse.

4. Dealing with anxiety disorders.

Anxiety is likely the most prevalent condition for which individuals have taken CBD, and a preclinical study discovered that CBD could be useful in treating generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

5. Treating GI problems.

A recent study discovered that CBD and other non-psychoactive cannabinoids can successfully prevent and treat gastrointestinal illnesses such as IBS, IBD, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and others. CBD's anti-inflammatory qualities are crucial for alleviating and avoiding symptoms.

6. Preventing seizures.

Decades of research have gone into utilising CBD to treat epilepsy and other seizure syndromes, and a recent study found that it can help reduce symptoms and seizure frequency.

7. Fighting Cancer

CBD has not only been used to help alleviate the effects of chemotherapy, but studies have also found that it can inhibit cell growth and induce cell death in cervical cancer cell lines, as well as having numerous anti-cancer effects that can help prevent a variety of cancers, treat tumours, and benefit the immune system.

Beyond these seven benefits, others are continuously being investigated and evaluated. We hope that students in our new THC Marijuana Entrepreneurship programme will help shape the industry's future. in our next topic, we will be looking at strains such as Red dragon strain and Fruity pebbles strain. /;
